Bryan is married to Pat he has two sons and a daughter Claire, both Pat and Claire have in the past had a try at Archery but decided not to follow it through. Bryan, Pat and Claire took up Archery after being introduced to it by Nev Wilson in 1997.Bryan had some training in Target Archery some years previously so it was a continuation of that into Field archery.

Bryan joined Cloth of Gold in 1998; he in the first instance shot Bare Bow, but in the last couple of years has change to Hunting Tackle. Is he going be more successful in this class, only time will tell? Over the years he has continued to enjoy his Archery more so since he retired from work last year. He can now spend more time pursuing archery interests. In 2004 he was Course Officer for part of the course 12 targets each with Norman Bird and John Hillsden both the May shoot and the Sept shoots  were successful. In 2005 Bryan became the Shoot Organiser for the Club after it was separated from the Captain of Archers position

Bryan has attended local N.F.A.S. shoots, shooting Bare Bow and Hunting Tackle, the National Champs, 3D Champs, and Scottish Champs. He has won prizes in a few Open Shoots. He has competed in the Club Shoots and won a Master Hunter Patch in H.T. class 2003.

Bryan was elected as Shoot Organiser in 2005 after it was separated from Captain of Archers and re-elected in 2006 to this position now known as Shoot Administrator
