Lionel joined the Cloth of Gold in 2002.  His style of shooting is Self Flat Bow (Traditional) although he originally started with a Compound Bow  in France in 1988, he has firmly established a niche for himself in traditional styles two years ago after joining Cloth of Gold.

He is also adept in making his own equipment; he does beautiful carving on Quivers and Leatherwork. Some of his work he sells at shoots. Lionel is a very willing and enthusiastic member and his enthusiasm earned him the title of Odd Arrow at the 2005 annual meeting for his contribution to last summers open shoot where, with a little help from his mates, he was the Course Officer with the responsibility for putting on a full 40 target mixed 3D and paper faces.

Which just goes to show with willingness and drive what can be achieved! This Shoot had a very good response from the 144 archers who attended and was one of the most profitable shoots we have had. With this kind of response from new members we can continue to be successful in the future.
