Rob Slatem

Rob first took up Archery after a “Have a Go” stall at Bosworth Field just over three years ago. In that short period of time he has joined the Long Eaton Field Archery Club, Bickerstaffe of Kegworth instructed him in the instinctive shooting of a Longbow and he has held a senior position on the committee of his club.

Due to work commitments he has now moved to the South of England. As all good Archers should, his first priority was to find the nearest or best Field Archery club in the area. Which he did! He joined the Cloth of Gold in January 2006. Although he is a new member he is very keen to become involved in the activities associated with the Cloth of Gold.

He took part in the recent Triple Challenge Shoot at H N A. He also joined with a group of members to shoot the Co. of Sixty Open this year. He has attended the Scottish Champs, National Champs, ETAS Shoots and various open field Shoots in the Midlands and North of England. His intention is to shoot as many Opens and Club Shoots as he can to continue to improve his Longbow shooting skills.
