Archery Youth
a problem everyone should look at?
Read carefully please and think before you answer
4H is a youth program to develope safe firearms handling. their particular disciplines are shotgun, archery, and "smallbore rifle"
Now i want my younger brother to shoot my AR in the club, but the rifle instructor is not the most educated as far as political and technical aspects of guns go. Dont get me wrong hes an excellent instructor as far as safety and teaching, but he seems a bit "liberal"
now he's saying that only rimfire is allowed, but 4H says "smallbore" not "rimfire" my AR is "smallbore" because "smallbore" is defined as usually .22 caliber
what would you do?
I think hes got the "assault weapons" spooks and thinks it looks evil or something like that
any opinions, comments?
BTW just wanted to let everyone know my little bro has been shooting for 2 years now, so its not like hes just starting to learn
Get your brother a rimfire rifle for the course, for all the right reasons. When he's done, teach him yourself on the AR.
It's not about "you and the instructor".....there's a whole lot more people involved and the mission of the couse is teach your brother and a lot of other kids safe firearms handling.
Help support the mission, not fight it. .
