Backing Recurve
little confused with recurve bows?
i'am not going to lie..i dont know crap about recurve bows.
and i am thinking of geting one, just for shooting in the back yard maybe killin some rabbits or something but i was told that with a recurve bow, you have to take the string off every time your done shooting it...is that true?

to preserve the integrity of the limbs on a recurve bow it does have to be unstrung after each use.
The string on a recurve bow bends the limbs into proper firing position. Failure to release the tension on a recuirve bow will result in the limbs becoming warped and loose the flexibility in the limbs.
When stringing or unstringing the bow be sure to use a bow stringer to ensure that the limbs do not twist in the process, as this renders the bow useless.
