Bob Goss

Bob is married to Rose. He joined Cloth of Gold in 2002. Bob is well trained in Target Archery. He was Herts County Bare bow Champion. He has been in archery for twenty years, eighteen of those years in Field Archery. Bob at present Shoots A.F.B, but has tried most of the instinctive styles.  His early encounters with Field Archery were with Bossard Bowmen and a tough initiation that was, courses at Bossard were never easy, and if you could manage to negotiate one of their courses without damage, you were extremely good or very lucky. I guess Bob was just unlucky. Because he had to learn to make arrows very fast, he became quite good at it. He now makes all his arrows for himself and has shown Rose how to do it too.  He also has a special talent for making arrow piles and very professional they are too. These are highly recommended.

On becoming a member of the club he got involved from the very first Shoot. He and Rose is the resident Security when the Club put on Open Shoots. Also he is the keeper of the Clubs Photographic Records.

Whenever possible he volunteers to help around Camp when we have Open Shoots. When he is not involved with his target archery he is busy with some project connected to his commitment to Cloth of Gold. Bob won a Club Master Hunter Patch AFB style 2003. Both enjoy camping and have shot most local N.F.A.S. Open Shoots and Club Championships.
