Bow is making a slight amount more noise than it should ???
I shoot a Mathews LX. A fine weapon in my opinion. When I first got it brand new, I felt it was as quiet as any bow I had ever shot. Last year, I did not get to hunt or even practice. When I busted it out this year to get ready. It had a little more noise than I remember. I took it to get a new Zebra but they were out. Could this be the solution to my problem ??? String is in good shape visually but its 3 years old.
Got silencers, always have..
i would suggest getting "limb savers" they will attach to the limbs to reduce vibration(sound) and the will make the limbs last longer, lots of newer bows have them on there already but they are a good investment. you might also want to get a weight to put on the front of your bow, a counter weight so that if you just hold your bow in one hand on the handle it should balance. some of those weights have silencers built in. i dont think its the string, but you should keep it good and waxed always. but hey, you might just be more sensitive to your bows sound now.
if none of that works then get somone to listen to you shoot to see if you can get to know what part it came from and fix it
a bit off topic i know but if you dont have one i suggest you get a good drop Away Arrow Rest, a good rest will ensure that your fletchings(or vanes) get no interference from the rest, making you More accurate.
