George first took up archery with the Bowmen of Harrow. He was formally trained in freestyle at the same time as his son Paul in 1997. After completing his training he took up the Longbow and also joined the Lyonions on the recommendation of Paul Provins. He joined Co. of Sixty in 2000. George now likes to make his own longbows which he regularly shoots with. In 2003 he joined the Cloth of Gold with his shooting pal Darren Robson, although Darren has now moved to another area, George continues to attend local and club shoots regularly. His favourite venues are shoots that are all 3D’s. George joined the Cloth of Gold because of its companionship and accessibility of shooting opportunities on a regular basis. going to introduce him to a spot of Clout shooting in the future .George
