Mo
is married with two sons, Ian & Steve, both shoot recurve bows. Mo has over
the years shot many styles from compound to recurve but his most popular is Bare
Bow.Mo has been a member of Cloth of Gold since 1978 and has held numerous
positions within the club since that time.
These include Treasurer, Course
officer, Coach, Auditor, and Club Secretary. At
the moment for his sins he is the Club Chairman, and becomes Chief car park
attendant on the days for our open shoots. He and Steve were regular visitors
to local open shoots but he now spends most of his spare Archery time at the C
of G .He used to attend the Nationals when the groups went together, his last
Nationals was in Cumbria when ten couples stayed together at a converted farm
house, this was the Silver anniversary of the N.F.A.S. He was an NFAS Coach up
until April 2000 when Nev Wilson took over the Coaching duties. Mo is currently
on his second term as Chairman following a very successful year for the club in
2005. He
won a Club Master Hunter Patch in Bare Bow class 2003. The club relies on the
continuity of people like Mo to uphold the traditions of a club like the Cloth
of Gold which has earned the respect of the archery world with its friendliness
and long history of good and varying Open Shoots. Mo will represent the club in
the Triple Club Challenge by changing styles to Hunting Tackle. |
