What do I do with my compound bow now that it has been dryfired?
My now exgirlfriend dryfired my PSE bow, do I send it to PSE or take it to a archery pro shop or just throw it way and buy a new bow?
Just because it's been dry fired doesn't mean it's scrap, many modern bows can handle a couple dry fires without damage.
If you don't see obvious damage, it could still be good. A simple way to check is by taking a dry Q-tip and lightly rubbing it against the limbs of your bow. If there is a hairline crack, the cotton fibers will catch. In that case, call PSE and see if you can replace a couple parts.
IF there are no cracks, take it into the field and CAREFULLY give it a shot. Wear eye protection and whatever other safety gear you have. If there is no decrease in power and no change in vibration or sound, then your bow should be good to go.
