Over Compound Bow

Bow shooting question?
Hi. I was wondering whether its legal or not to shoot my bow at the school which is right across the street. it has a huge field and will be shot on (if legal) when nobodies around and around the evening.
I was not sure. No hunting or anything just practice. I don't live near any shooting range. I was just wondering. I look at shooting laws and (under Archery section) and it only said i couldn't shoot over or at any type of road used by vehicles.
And my arrows are target arrows not hunting arrows. i use a compound bow.
Thanks.
The first thing you have to do is request permission from the school. Now, you need 50m behind the target for safety. Once you've secured permission from the school, you should be good to go. We actually use a school yard for one of the state tournaments here in California. True, the school is in the middle of a cotton field, but a school nonetheless.
Go to www.usarchery.org, there are some plans on there to setup a legal archery range. Or visit www.texasarchery.org, they have some documentations to start school archery clubs.
