Tony Stroud

Tony first took up Archery on the recommendation of Andy Stroud his brother. He joined the Cloth of Gold in 2005. At present he is Shooting Hunting Tackle but started with an A F B. Tony with his partner Kelly attend both Club and local Open Shoots. They both took part in the Triple Club Challenge at H N A and are regular participants at venues in the local area and like to support the Club whenever they can. Although Tony has not been doing Archery very long he is very keen to enjoy his days being involved in the Club working activities and the sporting events.

Tony volunteered for the position of Auditor at the 2005 Club Annual General Meeting.  We as a Club would like all our members to take part and become involved with the Club in this manner. Tony after only this short period has learned to become adept at making his own arrows. He has had to! Because when you throw yourself into Field Archery on the very exacting courses that Tony has, you soon learn the hard way, (nine arrows broken out of fifteen). Give Fleet Ibex a miss next time maybe? Tony was still smiling at the end of the day, knowing he would have to be back at the work bench getting ready for the next Open Shoot.

Tony took part in both Club Shoots in 2005 and as many Open Shoots as he could manage in between his and Kelly’s other passions of Motorcycling and Scuba Diving which fills most of their spare time.
